first week of internship

WEEK 1

TV INTERNSHIP:

What I enjoyed about my intern was the idea and the experience of being in a premiere station where I can learn and hone my skills. Being at the Writing Department of the GMA New Media made me anxious but ready to do task assigned to me. I wasn’t comfortable at first but when I was able to finish my first task, I immediately felt calmed and relaxed. For this week I was able to finish several tasks including writing scripts for plugs and voice overs, researching and surfing the net. I was able to open my facebook account these 2 days and that helped a lot in relaxing me.

I also saw artistas like Kuya Germs, who is very mestizo, Drew Arellano, Buoy Garovillo of the APO and some familiar news anchors of the station. I must admit that when they asked me to research on some of their artistas, I had a hard time because I barely know most of them. I think that one of the things I have to do is to familiarize myself to the Kapuso stars.

RADIO INTERNSHIP:

I enjoyed working in the station. The staff and the old curriculum interns are nice and helpful. Even though it was my first time to work there, I immediately felt at home with the treatment and help I received from them. Some of the interns taught me about the things I need to know to be efficient inside the station. My first week experience was fun and made me feel that I will have more fun as I continue being a trainee in that station.
